Dr. Stephen Reck graduated cum laude from the College of the Holy Cross with a bachelor's degree in physics. Following graduation, Dr. Reck was commissioned as a naval officer and served aboard a nuclear-powered attack submarine. During this time he was awarded three Navy Achievement Medals and two Meritorious Unit Commendations.

After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Dr. Reck began his medical training at the University of Michigan Medical School, receiving his degree in 2002. He then went on to complete his residency training in ophthalmology as well as a fellowship program in glaucoma at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center, one of the top centers in the U.S. Dr. Reck provides comprehensive eye care with special emphasis in cataract surgery and the management of glaucoma.

Dr. Reck's outside interests include skiing, golfing, biking, diving and sailing. He and his wife, Dr. Penny Reck, make their home in Olympia with their daughter.
