What Happens During the Initial Screening Exam?

Your first step towards clearer vision is to schedule a complimentary screening consultation with our Refractive Surgery Coordinator, Amy Varney, by calling 360-923-4340, or by emailing her at lasik@claruseye.com.

During this 30-60 minute appointment, you will be given detailed information on the safety and efficacy of the various laser vision correction options available at Clarus. Also during this session, a series of measurements of your eyes will be taken. These data, along with the information obtained from a thorough lifestyle questionnaire, help us to determine which procedure is ideally suited for your individual needs.

Once we've determined that you're a good candidate for laser vision correction, you'll be scheduled to return for a more detailed, dilated eye exam to determine the overall health of your eyes. During this appointment you'll meet with our fellowship-trained Cornea and Refractive Surgery specialist, Dr. Jay Rudd, who will review the risks and benefits of the procedure and answer any questions that you may have.
